Whether it's your first time or 50th time going to Disney World, you may have a specific packing list that you keep in your head. Or maybe you write it down. Or make an Excel spreadsheet. (Yes, I've seen that people do that.) Whatever works for you! But I often see, online, where people are totally stressing out about packing and doing so way in advance. I'm not saying that packing the night before and being up way too late, like me, is the answer. You should probably be more organized that me. BUT, I can show you some things to pack that you will be glad to have with you on your vacation, and hopefully relieve some of the stress of trying to figure out what you may need! Especially if you've never visited the parks before or if you're going For the First Time in Forever.... see what I did there?
Let's jump right into it! Some of these things may be items that you would have never thought of before, but that's the goal. Some are also for fun!
FANS.
If it is one of the hotter months, which is a lot of months in Florida, you'll definitely want to bring a fan. Especially if you're from somewhere that doesn't have as much humidity as we Floridians are used to. But even for us it can get HOT. I personally have a handheld one that fits nicely into a fanny pack or backpack, but some people prefer one around their neck instead.
Handheld, rechargeable Mickey fan: https://amzn.to/47tu2Tb
I'm obsessed with this. I have it in yellow, but there are other colors too. I charge it in the room overnight and then it lasts me all day. It has 3 different speed settings, fits nicely into small bags, and has lasted me a couple years already. So far, so good!
If you think you'd prefer a hands-free neck fan, here's a highly rated one (with almost 50k reviews!) that you might like: https://amzn.to/46FiaN2
CARABINERS/CLIPS.
Clips will come in handy if you find yourself needing or wanting to attach things to your bag or stroller so you don't have to hold them. Some people clip their water bottles to their backpacks or shopping bags to their strollers, for example.
This is a large stroller clip that has a maximum weight of about 15 pounds: https://amzn.to/3QZD4Ai
The uses are endless for those who use strollers in the parks. Use it to hold shopping bags, purses, lunchboxes, diaper bags, ect.
And here are some smaller ones to hold things that require something less heavy duty: https://amzn.to/40Sg4YR
These would be cute to add to your bag in their own, but would also be great to attach keychains or ear holders! We'll get to ear holders next.
EAR HOLDERS.
This is definitely something that you may not have thought of, but is so convenient. For me, I'm wearing a fanny pack a lot of the time. Or a small backpack, but maybe it's full with other things. Sometimes, I might take my ears off for a little bit in general or I need to take them off for a ride, but don't want to hold them in my hands. Bring an ear holder with you and simply attach your ears to it, and get on that ride without worrying about them.
For example, here you can see that I have a pair of ears that are not on my head but I am not having to hold them:

COMFORTABLE BAGS.
If you're like me, you may not want to carry around a full sized backpack if you don't need to. If I'm not using some kind of mini backpack, I am using a fanny pack! Here are some that I own and use all the time.
JanSport mini backpack: https://amzn.to/3sSAvZ0
This has actually been my most used bag on a daily basis for YEARS now, and it's still in great condition. You already know JanSport is great quality. These "half pint" bags actually fit so much more than you would think too! Whenever I'm wearing a backpack and get on one of the more thrilling rides, I simply put my legs through the straps so it is super secure and I don't have to worry about losing it.
JanSport fanny pack: https://amzn.to/46wzZNV
Same exact thing as the mini backpack, but different! haha.
Also, I'm pretty sure JanSport has a lifetime warranty.
Lululemon Dupe fanny pack: https://amzn.to/3SY8FFa
This comes in basically a million colors and is also waterproof. Not to mention, it's under $25. That's way better than the alternative if you ask me!
Another waterproof option: https://amzn.to/3N27qRB
These bags also come with two straps, but can be worn with only one and/or in multiple different ways! They're compact, but have plenty of space, and even have card slots on the inside.
SUNGLASSES.
I know this one is obvious. BUT DON'T FORGET YOUR SUNGLASSES. I honestly don't know if I could get through a park day without sunglasses. This is one of my favorite, super affordable brands from Amazon: https://amzn.to/49Suv2W
The ones I have are great quality as well.
And I believe most, if not all, of them are polarized!
Pro tip: if you are someone who likes to wear ears, I've found that most glasses with smaller arms (likes the ones pictured) fit the best without pushing the ears backwards. They should sit right in front of the headband.
COMFORTABLE SHOES THAT CAN ALSO GET WET.
Because you really never know when it's going to rain in Florida. And multiple attractions involve water in one way or another.
Teva sandals: https://amzn.to/3N02nRV
I'm actually wearing this exact pair in the picture of me above. That very same weekend, I was caught in a torrential downpour on the way to EPCOT, and these shoes were a lifesaver because I could run in them without them slipping off of my feet and also not worry about them getting ruined.
Whenever I'm not wearing Tevas, you can usually find me in Brooks, Birkenstocks, or Air Force 1's. Switching shoes midday is one of the best things you can do, btw.
GOOD HAIR TIES.
My fellow long haired people. I cannot say it enough that you will want to put your hair back on every ride that goes fast. Bring one of those little fold up brushes too and thank me later.
Teleties: https://amzn.to/40UsPlw
These are the best. That's all.
Multipack of brushes: https://amzn.to/3GdCE4F
The actual worst thing is getting off of any ride with your hair in knots and not being able to fix it. Looking at you Rock n Roller Coaster, Test Track, Cosmic Rewind... I can list more.
And just for fun, let's throw a couple more things in here!
Adding Disney patches to shirts, sweatshirts, bags, hats, etc. is such a fun way to create your own magical look!
